POKERSTARS LAUNCHES ‘EPT NOT LIVE’ PODCAST SHOW
First episode available to download and listen to now
ONCHAN, Isle of Man – March 6, 2015 – PokerStars, an Amaya Inc. (TSX: AYA) company, today announced the launch of a brand new podcast called ‘EPT Not Live’. The weekly show will be hosted by EPTLive commentators, James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton, going behind the scenes at live events, interviewing celebrities, members of Team PokerStars Pro and online qualifiers, and giving listeners the chance to win exclusive prizes.
James Hartigan said: “It’s just like EPTLive, only it isn’t live, it’s recorded. And you don’t get to see any poker, or graphics, or…anything at all actually. In fact, it’s nothing like EPTLive, apart from the irreverent and irrelevant chat.”
The show’s co-host, Joe Stapleton, added: “If the EPT were a movie, this would be the DVD commentary. Although most of our audience probably doesn’t know what a DVD is, so I think this is probably best explained by a series of emojis. If you like the EPT, this show will make you :-), (y), and XD.”
The first episode features an interview with mixed martial arts legend and poker enthusiast, Tito Ortiz, who attended the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January and played the Main Event. The first episode is available to listen to now at: http://psta.rs/1Bbqz7D. It’s also available to download through Apple iTunes, and Android users can access it via their usual podcast app or the RSS feed at: http://psta.rs/1DYO2tR.
“We want EPT fans to get involved. We’ve got money-can’t-buy prizes up for grabs, including exclusive ‘Everyone Loves a Chop Pot’ T-shirts. Each week, one lucky listener will get to come on air and go head-to-head against Joe Stapleton in an EPT trivia contest. Chances are, they’ll win!”, said Hartigan.
The award-winning EPTLive webcast has been an integral part of the success of the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour since 2007. In 2013, it was recognised as Favourite Web-based Poker Show at the BLUFF Reader’s Choice Awards. EPT Not Live aims to bring the same thoughtful, engaging and light-hearted poker content to the popular podcast platform.
