Six weeks of special tournaments and giveaways start November 16
ONCHAN, Isle of Man – November 13, 2015 – The festive season is just around the corner, but for PokerStars, an Amaya Inc. (Nasdaq: AYA; TSX: AYA) brand, the celebrations begin on Monday with the start of Christmas Festival – a six-week extravaganza that will see more than $10 million awarded to players across a range of online activities.
The festival features three distinct parts:
- November 16-29 – Daily Double Jackpot
- December 1-25 – Christmas Calendar
- December 27 – $5m Guaranted Sunday Million
DAILY DOUBLE JACKPOT
Kicking things off on November 16 is the Daily Double Jackpot tournament series, which features 84 tournaments across two weeks. Each day there are six Daily Double tournaments – two identical events at three buy-in levels ($1.10, $11, $55) – as follows:
- $1.10 DAILY DOUBLE 1 – 13:00 (Mon-Sat $5k GTD / Sun $10k GTD)

- $55 DAILY DOUBLE 1 – 15:00 ET (Mon-Sat $75kGTD / Sun $250k GTD)
- $55 DAILY DOUBLE 2 – 15:00 ET (Mon-Sat $75kGTD / Sun $250k GTD)
In addition to the guaranteed prize money in each tournament, PokerStars is offering a $1 million jackpot to a player who wins two Daily Double tournaments at the same buy-in level in one day. CHRISTMAS CALENDAR
From December 1-25 players can take part in the ‘Christmas Calendar’ promotion, which appears in the ‘Challenges’ window of the PokerStars client.
