Web Middle Tier Developer

We are looking for a web middle-tier developer to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Richmond Hill, Toronto service office.

You’ll be designing and building mid-tier systems which work between front end presentation and backend system. You will be passionate about innovation and have the skills to develop highly scalable and effective systems.

Who are we looking for:

You’ll have a degree in Computer science or related degree along with shown experience in a software development company to allow you to work on your tasks and projects effectively. You’ll be working with system analysts to formalize requirements and develop implementation plans along with performing the design, development, and support of integration applications, in Java language, with minor involvement with HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript. You’ll have excellent coding skills, ability to produce clean, robust, accurate, and efficient code that meets specs and a clear understanding of Internet communication protocols such as HTTP, Web Socket, TCP/IP, UDP.

You’ll need working knowledge of C++ and STL in a development environment as you’ll be implementing details of developed solutions. So, excellent written and verbal skills are meaningful. You’ll be designing and building enterprise grade software middle-tier systems using Java so expert knowledge of Java technologies and frameworks, Spring MVC and/or Spring boot, Hibernate/MyBatis are essential.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

Working knowledge of Maven/Grails or GIT will be an added benefit as you’ll be helping to lead the conversation and design, and understand the architectural trade-off, scalability, resiliency, high availability and security. Knowledge of AngularJS or React would be beneficial, as is experience with Containerization (Docker or Kubernetes).
