Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and as our new VP of Finance (Interim). You will be working on a 12 month contract and have strategic and operational leadership of internal and external reporting for our US finance function. This new role will be pivotal in contributing to the strategic framework of decision making, financial planning and reporting of our US operation. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, have an eye for detail, be commercially minded and passionate about using financial information and KPIs to drive the business.

The role is commercial and broad, ideal for someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced start-up phase environment. It will involve creating and leading a finance team, coordinating the team activities to meet all internal and public reporting deadlines.

Why we need you:

As well as leading our US finance function you will:

  • Have responsibility for the SOX Framework Management and ensure that the relevant teams are applying the agreed principles
  • Partner with the US executive management team and Group CFO as well as other business workstreams such as IT and G&A
  • Management of financial planning and analysis
  • Monthly production of data and reports for review by US management team and C-level corporate executive team
  • Monitor and develop financial KPIs
  • Working closely with the corporate FP&A and reporting functions to ensure that the necessary systems and processes are in place to derive the data and reports necessary to evaluate operating results
  • Coach and manage direct reports providing support for their personal development needs

Who are we looking for:

We’re looking for someone who has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), you'll also have a Big 4 background earlier in your career. Public company experience (ideally NASDAQ) is essential and experience in start-up technology based companies is a big plus.

Knowledge and expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and strong understanding of US GAAP is important as is hands-on experience in financial planning, financial reporting and reporting to a corporate finance team to support public filing requirements.
