Job Purpose

The Intern programme launched in 2015 and, after four successful years with high demand, we’re going to be back, bigger and better for 2019 with a UX Intern up for grabs in our CXD team!

The UX Intern will help support our UX Research and UX Design teams with a number of key activities on various projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the entire CXD team helping on a number of tasks to support user centered design activities.

We have designed the programme with the student at the heart of everything, ensuring you gain maximum exposure and experience, something not all placements can offer.

Your Responsibilities

UX Research support:

  • Schedule participants for UX research
  • Liaise with various teams to send out UX research invites to customers
  • General activities around usability testing
  • Set up of remote research studies
  • Occasional assistance with the analysis of the research

UX Design:

  • Help with task management in the team backlog
  • Manage libraries of assets and files
  • Conduct competitor benchmarks
  • Assist the team with wireframing/prototyping

General:

  • Organise team meetings and coordinate the agenda
  • Keep the team project space up to date
  • Help take notes at workshops
  • Help with CX Strategy coordination

What do we need from you?

Essential

  • Current University student studying a HCI or Research degree in a 4 year graduate programme requiring a sandwich placement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Highly motivated self-starter & a positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
  • Well organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise key projects
  • Good presentation skills

Desirable

  • Experience in working within a business environment
  • Project Management Skills
