We are looking for a systems integration analyst to join our busy and dynamic team in our Richmond Hill, Toronto office.

You will play a key role in devising and driving technical solutions for the cross-vertical integration projects and helping developers and IT engineers obtain a clear, unambiguous understanding of the functionality that they are encouraged to implement including potential risks and impact. You will work and communicate effectively with developers, systems analysts, DevOps, data analysts, QA, business stakeholders across different delivery organizations within the Group.
Who are we looking for:
You will transform business requests into detailed technical specifications for consumption by developers, QA, DevOps; capture, coordinate, and formulate technical requirements, both functional and non-functional. You will need extensive experience as a technical business or systems analyst along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
You’ll collaborate with developers, architects, business stakeholders on development of technical solutions so a broad knowledge of systems, technologies, protocols, databases, relational database concepts, etc. is meaningful. As is excellent written and oral communications skills.
You will analyse existing systems via review of user documentation, discussions with developers, QA, data analysts to understand functionality and behaviour of systems and tools, assess impact and technical risks of modifications and provide support to global business units. The ability to read & write technical documentation including:
- use case diagrams
- software architecture diagrams
- API documentation
- XML & XSD
- data models
is important as is a proven knowledge and understanding of SDLC. You will also have strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
Software development, QA, data analysis, DBA, or DevOps experience is an asset as you’ll be preparing and writing technical documentation, including process flows, sequence diagrams, use cases, procedures, etc.
The ability to read programming code and SQL is also a benefit as you identify potential issues, recommend and plan mitigation strategy; drive mitigation work with stakeholders in different technical teams.
