Systems Integration Analyst - IT

We are looking for a systems integration analyst to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Richmond Hill, Toronto office.

Why we need you:

You play a key role in devising and driving technical solutions for internal cross-vertical and IT projects and helping IT engineers and data analysts obtain a clear, unambiguous understanding of the functionality that they are expected to implement including potential risks and impact before the implementation begins. You will work and communicate effectively with developers, systems analysts, DevOps, data analysts, QA, business stakeholders across different delivery organizations. You'll have a unique opportunity to see the internal “plumbing” of a multinational online poker, casino, and sports betting service provider.

Who are looking for:

You’ll be transforming business requests into detailed technical specifications for consumption by developers, QA, DevOps; capture, organize, and formulate technical requirements, both functional and non-functional so shown experience as a technical business or systems analyst is important along with a Bachelor’s degree in science, math, or engineering.

You’ll collaborate with developers, architects and business stakeholders on development of technical solutions so excellent written and oral communications skills is important. You’ll analyse existing systems via review of user documentation, discussions with developers, QA, data analysts to understand functionality and behaviour of systems and tools, assess impact and technical risks of modifications and provide support to global business units. So, you can read & write user documentation including sequence, state, use case diagrams, software architecture diagrams, API documentation, XML & XSD, data models, etc.

You’ll be identifying potential issues, recommend and plan mitigation strategy along with driving mitigation work with stakeholders in different technical teams. Broad knowledge of systems, technologies, protocols, databases, relational database concepts, etc. is meaningful.

Finally, you’ll be preparing and writing technical documentation, including process flows, sequence diagrams, use cases, procedures, etc. so strong knowledge of SDLC and analytical skills are needed.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

Software development, QA, data analysis, DBA or DevOps experience would be beneficial as would the ability to read programming code and SQL.  Proven experience of technical business or systems analyst with experience in one of the following: software development, QA, data analysis, DBA, or DevOps. Ability to read any technical documentation including sequence, state, use case diagrams, software architecture diagrams, API documentation, XML & XSD, data models, programming code, SQL. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills. Ability to equally well execute formal procedures or find an elegant and quick hack to solve the problem – and the wisdom to choose the former or the latter in a situation.
