The role: Sportsbook Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Sportsbook Marketing Manager to join our fast-growing Sportsbook team based in our Leeds service office.

Why we need you :-

You will be responsible for the planning and performance of Sportsbook campaign media for the Rest of World Tribe.  Working to a specific budget you will be responsible for ensuring our campaigns are efficiently and effectively reaching target audiences to drive awareness and ultimately deliver positive ROI.

Reporting to the Department Head of Sportsbook Brand Marketing & Media, you will work as part of the Sportsbook team to ensure media campaign plans are aligned to the wider commercial strategy. Working closely with channel managers, MMDs and our media agency you will plan, co-ordinate, monitor and adapt media plans across ROW territories including Germany, France and Spain. You will also support the Sportsbook Campaign Manager to advise on creative requirements and innovation based on the requirements of each media channel.

Using BI, PHD and Customer data you will work with channel managers and each territory MMD to create ATL, digital and sponsorship media strategies linked to the habits, motivations and nuances of our customer and prospective customer base. You will use this data to identify new media opportunities and innovations to become a challenger brand in each respective market.

You will optimise the media strategy by closely monitoring performance through a number of channel KPIs and by introducing weekly, monthly and quarterly media performance reports.  You’ll have innate ability of bringing senior stakeholders together and getting agreement from them on the approval of media partnerships, and be able to then seamlessly transition into leading the delivery of our partnerships across all teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Drive effective reach and awareness of BAU and Headline Sportsbook Campaigns across both ATL & Digital channels
  • Work closely with Sportsbook marketing, channel managers, and MMDs to collaboratively create, adapt and maintain successful media plans across all territories
  • Supporting the Head of Sportsbook Brand Marketing & Media by advising on budget planning and efficiencies for Sportsbook in regards to media.
  • Use different data resources including PHD and central research to identify different customer media consumption behaviors across different territories
  • Identify opportunities in media to innovate and act as a “challenger brand” to incumbent bookmakers in each territory
  • Support local MMDs in negotiating and analyzing new media partner agreements and sponsorships, making sure central teams including FP&A and Legal are advised.
  • Play a key role in working with, Sportsbook Marketing to ensure campaign creative is as effective as it can be for each media channel including dynamic banners etc.
  • Introduce and monitor media KPIs related to the overarching Sportsbook Commercial strategy
  • Introduce, weekly, monthly and quarterly media channel reports relevant to each media channel
  • Track and report on media channel spend and ensure this is in line with budget and contract expectations.
  • Introduce Brand uplift studies to demonstrate brand performance in media

Who we are looking for:- 

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Extensive experience of planning & managing ATL media
  • Extensive experience of planning & managing Digital media including, Display and Paid Social
  • Relevant international experience gained within e-commerce
  • Relevant experience of setting up media performance monitoring and tracking
  • Proven experience of delivering successful media campaign plans for Sportsbook or e-gaming businesses
  • The ability to advise upon efficiencies to strategies that deliver outstanding results.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Exemplary project management and commercial negotiation skills.
  • Experience of managing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a good instinct for business.
  • Be comfortable presenting the value of deliverables to all levels of the business
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas.
  • Must have a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Prepared to travel given the International nature of the business and its overseas office locations
  • Be passionate and dedicated with a will to succeed.
