The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Manager - Human Resources to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Toronto service office.

Why we need you:

You’ll be contributing to the development of the local and global HR strategy and lead on the delivery of the HR business partnering model. Ensuring that HR is a valuable contributor to the business in achieving its overall vision by working with the senior management team to drive the people strategy. You'll be mentoring, coaching and empowering leaders on complex people relations issues, organisational design and change, talent planning, compensation and benefits, and people well-being. Driving HR excellence locally, leading and developing a professional HR team in partnering with all business units.
Who we are looking for:

You’ll be focusing on team development within this role and providing expert knowledge to the team on various topics including legislative requirements, change management processes, consultative approaches and best practice initiatives. We want to see in your experience a progressive career path to Senior HR Business Partner level and experience with multiple responsibilities from high operational requirements to strategic priorities at the same time. A degree or CIPD qualification is essential for the success of this role.

Whilst recruitment is owned by our Talent Acquisition team, you’ll work across the People division looking at projects such as resource planning for the local business units building strong ties with your local managers to understand their (and the teams) needs. You’ll have a strong commercial awareness and problem solving capabilities using critical thinking to get to the root cause of problems are essential.

You’ll be handling complex and senior level employee relations matters along with guiding and supporting leaders to proactively lead attendance. Shown experience of successfully partnering with internal customers across all levels up to and including Executive board level is important.
Team collaboration is essential as you run own projects collaborating at group and local level to facilitate the accomplishment of day to day work and ongoing projects. You’ll need the ability to challenge business leaders on change processes, considering wider implications and impact on others
Finally, you’ll be working to ensure leaders fulfil the people management aspects of their role with openness, transparency, incorporating equality & diversity issue by liaising closely with our Learning team to deliver relevant HR sessions to Leaders at varying levels so you’ll need proven influencing skills particularly at a senior level.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

An ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and changing industry fundamentals, be a positive, proactive individual who is a motivational leader as you’ll be leading a HR team in partnership with the Group. You’ll be an effective relationship builder at all levels with a consultative approach along with having in-depth experience dealing with a wide variety of complex employee relations issues.

You’ll have experience in a tech/gaming or contact centre environment, or ideally for a large corporate company. What we’re looking for is someone with an adaptable and flexible nature that will change their style of approach for varying scenarios, looking after a large scale corporate environment. Proficient in Workday or another HR System is essential and ideally you’ll be able to demonstrate evidence of being able to manage competing priorities and client groups.
