We are looking for a senior client developer to join our busy and dynamic team in our Richmond Hill, Toronto office.

Why we need you:

You’ll be designing, implementing, testing and maintaining the client code for core applications. You’ll be attending the project kick-off, crafting and review meetings whilst working closely with our business analysts (project management Office) and the design team as part of the development of the system.

Who are we looking for:

You’ll be transforming approved requirements into compelling, usable, media-rich interactive experiences so you’ll need confirmed experience programming client applications. You’ll be writing clean, documented, reusable and scalable code so solid attention to detail, organization, and time management/project management skills are meaningful.

You’ll be maintaining a coding skill set consistent with current technologies, sharing knowledge as applicable so exposure or experience to the following is important:
  • C++ development
  • OpenGL, 3D hardware acceleration
  • game-development platforms (preferably Cocos2d-x)
  • using internal Windows OS (WIN32 API)
You’ll be maintaining your work at both detailed and abstract levels, solving problems creatively along with providing assistance to our QA and Production Support teams so knowledge of computer networking and internet communication protocols such as UDP & HTTP is needed.

As the ideal candidate, you will have: -

Experience with with Cocos2d-x or similar game development platform, the ability to develop UI prone applications with strong user experience awareness and optimization and a good understanding of the latest features and development standard methodologies, including features in upcoming SDKs, resource optimization techniques and social network integration (e.g., Facebook, Twitter) will be helpful to this role.

Proven familiarity with OOP and implementation of software design patterns or experience of SQL Server or DB2 will be a great benefit as will exposure to MacOS application development.
