The role: Senior Business Analyst – Licensing
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst – Licensing to join our busy and dynamic team in our Toronto, Richmond Hill office.
Why we need you:-
As Senior Business Analyst you will be critical in translating the high level scope – as defined by the solution architect – into a detailed product description, covering all user stories and elements and breaking it into logical and functional units that can be worked by the developers to deliver the expected product.
You will collaborate with various business stakeholders at various levels to research and define functional requirements and lead Technological feasibility validation checks. As well as, creating detailed functional designs and process flows, using different methodologies and tools. You’ll take ownership of the delivery of features and capabilities throughout the development process. Work closely with engineers to ensure the product is being built to specifications. Plan the delivery approach and timelines with all stakeholders.
There is requirement for you to provide technical guidance/leadership to the development/delivery teams where relevant. Whilst also, creating relevant documentation, project plans and presentations for senior management stakeholders. You will assist end-users with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) needs and create and maintain the ‘knowledge base’ of our systems and licenses, providing different business units with compliance gap analysis on requested features. Being the knowledge owner of our different solutions across all licenses.
Who are we looking for:-
- Significant experience as a product, business and/or business systems analyst and to have qualification/certification in these areas
- Intimate knowledge and experience with Operational aspects around Regulated Markets.
- Technical experience with distributed application design and data analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills
- A results-oriented team player with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to identify, attempt to rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks
- Strong track record of delivery including major business change projects
- Able to produce business solution designs and delivery plans
- Ability to function as a self-starter with emphasis on getting things done under pressure of tight deadlines
As the ideal candidate, you will have:-
Experience in working within regulatory frameworks and compliance and on system integration is desirable. Detailed knowledge of regulatory product requirement across jurisdictions and technical understanding of regulated frameworks is a plus. A relevant degree in computer science or another technology related discipline is advantageous.
