The role: Scrum Master
We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Leeds service office.

We are looking for a dedicated scrum master to join our team. In this role, you would be responsible for overseeing our software development team and working under the agile methodology. We are seeking a candidate who has proven leadership skills, the ability to think critically and problem-solve, and a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
As a Framework scrum master, you will be responsible to identify any problems arising in the project that may reduce the team’s productivity or slow down their work in order to eliminate them as quickly as possible. You will ensure that the Scrum/Agile/BDD methodology is properly applied. You will ensure that the various method concepts are acquired and accepted and that roles are correctly distributed and understood by all (product owner, developer, QA, etc). As Frameworks scrum master, you will be responsible for acting as an Agile/BDD coach within the team (product owner included).
You will also become the organizer and facilitator of the various methodology “rituals”, such as daily scrum meetings, the planning pokers or the agile retrospectives.

You`ll facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing. You`ll shape team behaviour through excellent management via the agile method. You`ll remove project obstacles, develop solutions with team. You`ll ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle. You`ll build strong relationships with stakeholders, framework users, and program owners. You`ll document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders.
Who are we looking for: -
You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and registrations/certifications as a Scrum Master (PMI-ACP Certification preferred). You will have demonstrable experience with the core understanding and application of Agile/Lean frameworks, JIRA or ServiceNow. Additional experience with large scale integration projects preferred.
You are available to work out of standard working hours with cross regional teams across the world. You have superior Analytical Skills and eagerness to work in a team and as a team to solve problems but without requiring micromanagement, to act as a mentor and lead other developers of less experience. You can coordinate teams of developers to execute on plans in a timely fashion and assist in planning realistic time frames for implementing software solutions including correctly analyzing the capabilities of your team, their resources and current.
You have solid communication skills including excellent English language skills, solid writing skills and solid people skills. You can guide the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers; the team on how to get the most of out self-organisation and the team on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
You can assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organisation and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation. You remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments. You build trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving. You facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. You facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. You assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. You support and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog. You provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example.
You have experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. You have good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. You have in depth knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
As the ideal candidate, you will have: -
As an ideal candidate, you have knowledge of other Agile approaches: Kanban, BDD, etc. You are aware of and have experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games. You have experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
