The role: Programme Manager – GSTP

We are looking for an experienced programme manager to join our busy and dynamic global sportsbook team based in our Leeds office. This role will require the successful candidate to work with various Sports teams and Group business stakeholders to coordinate and lead through all phases of delivery for smooth and successful implementation.

Why we need you:

We are regularly launching our products and brands in new regulated markets as part of our Group Business Development Strategy. The projects vary from simple, lower effort Sportsbook launches in existing markets; to highly complex, cross-vertical Group launches involving multiple delivery teams. They will use different project methodologies, work on different build cycles and are located all around the world. These projects are fast moving and subject to frequent changes due to technical and regulatory complexities and therefore require meticulous planning.

As a Programme Manager, reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will manage one or more programmes / projects and be responsible for the successful delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating deliverables and dependencies in a complex team structure. You will thrive under pressure, not be afraid to get involved in every aspect required to reach the project goals and utilise your exceptional communication skills across all organisational levels.

You will be creating timelines and milestones and ensure that these deadlines are met. You’ll be defining project goals, scope and deliverables, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. You’ll be crafting a detailed delivery plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project, including resources and timelines to execute the project per the project plan. You’ll work closely with technical leads, as well as marketing and commercial leads, and you will provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders and executive management.

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual, who is highly organised, who can work well independently and who has a keen interest in betting and gaming. The ability to build strong working relationships with remote teams is essential.

You will show evidence of exceptional management of time and resources, technical astuteness, and strong attention to detail to ensure collaboration across multiple projects running in parallel.

You’ll need strong communication skills to be able to manage the projects you will own within the Sportsbook team and develop relationships with our central teams such as Compliance, CRM and Operational teams.

 

Skills and Capabilities

 

We are looking for experience in managing complex deliverables across distributed teams, strong time management, organisational and planning skills. You will need to be a clear, adaptable and confident communicator with diverse personality types. Concise, both in written and in verbal communications

Keenness to work to and deliver against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The role will require an ability to create a collaborative team environment, facilitate discussion and conflict resolution. You will have a high attention to detail. Stakeholder expectation and relationship management

 

Desirable:

 

An Understanding of the gaming / sports betting industry, as well as an understanding of development methodologies and processes. Experience using JIRA/Confluence to manage projects.
