The role: Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our busy and dynamic Global Sportsbook Trading Platform team based in our Leeds office.

Why we need you: -

As Product Owner, working with the Senior Product Manager you will take product management aspects for at least one squad within the business. This will involve taking an idea from conception, initial assignment through all the processes of work to final delivery.

You’ll be required to support the product delivery approach via our product development life cycle. Where the product is developed across development squads, you will be expected to seek agreement from the other squad Product Owners and to have those dependencies delivered in a way which removes dependency within sprints while ensuring that the value created is harvested as fast as possible.

This role requires you to define clear functional and non-functional business requirements, business processes and/or customer journeys and communicate these as appropriate, working with engineers, architects and other stakeholders. Whilst also, working with and leading your product squad to set the vision and roadmap, aligning everyone behind a common goal, to motivate and energise behind that vision; building a shared understanding of the product with the team.

You`ll ensure that the Backlog and prioritization reflect the best value and communicates and manages timing and continuation of development with the stakeholders. As well as, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across trading, technology, commercial and other product teams.

You will identify roadmap candidates and provide recommendations, supporting the Senior Product Manager to create clear priorities that align with business goals. While also, defining and communicating the priority for delivery, sharing the reasoning behind your decisions with appropriate stakeholders.

As Product Owner you are required to work without boundaries to ensure your product area delivers best-in-class features rapidly, to a high-quality and sustainably. Whilst also, reviewing/measuring/assessing delivered solutions in order to ensure fitness for purpose and exploring opportunities to improve effectiveness of delivery; making recommendations as appropriate.

You will facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders and third parties to gather information and maintain the communication always regarding scope/MVP/MMF with stakeholders. Also required is for regular updates on values and metrics and provide show and tell on progress, then use this process to prioritise and manage backlog.

Who we are looking for: -

You’ll have an understanding of product management, including its functionality within a global business and business analysis skills, including communication of business requirements via user stories. You will have an understanding of customer interactions and user journeys on transactional digital products and demonstrating a passion for continually improving customer experience.

This role requires you to be able to maintain a good balance between short-term delivery and long-term planning, as well as, being naturally collaborative, and with a desire to be part of a highly successful team rather than just a highly successful individual.

As Product Owner you need to have high levels of commitment and enthusiasm, whilst also having an interest in and knowledge of latest technology and media trends. You’ll be a highly organised and self-motivated individual, with a desire to see a job through to conclusion.

You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and comfortable operating at all levels of an organisation. While also, being able to understand and adopt new and appropriate tools and techniques, quickly and effectively and have lean / agile development methodology knowledge.

As the ideal candidate, you will have: -

A passion for Sport with knowledge and experience of sport betting and trading systems is desirable.
