The role: Platform Specialist

We are looking for a Platform Specialist to join our busy and dynamic Web Publishing team in our Leeds office.

Why we need you:-

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Web Publishing, you will develop a deep understanding of internal platforms, systems, processes, and regulations. You will be responsible for the maintenance and support of digital content publishing tools including content management systems, testing platforms, and marketing communication tools. You will be the key point of contact for Marketing Operations teams to debug HTML, JS, and CSS while advising how best to setup campaigns.

You will work closely with the wider Web Publishing team to build landing pages, bespoke components, and internal tools using HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery to help improve internal processes. You will support Group Marketing Services teams in conducting UAT testing of release cycles for marketing communication platforms, as well as post-deployment production testing. 

You will be the first point of contact for urgent marketing tool queries from the business, using your excellent problem-solving skills to creatively find solutions for a wide range of internal stakeholders.

Who are we looking for:-

  • Excellent HTML/CSS coding skills. 4+ years of experience.
  • Excellent Javascript/jQuery coding skills. 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with content management systems, especially a headless CMS.
  • GIT and/or SVN version control experience
  • UAT/QA testing experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, with experience in managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience of documenting processes and providing training for colleagues

As the ideal candidate, you will have:-

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You’ll engage with stakeholders across international locations, including Bulgaria, Toronto, Isle of Man and Malta.

A willingness to help, and experience of working in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities.

You should have a desire to learn, and not be afraid of being asked to help in areas that aren’t your strengths.
