Who we are looking for?

The role of the PMO Analyst is to support the GSTP Tribe Leadership Team in the following areas:

  • Tracking status of deliverables and milestones
  • Supporting the adoption of the Agile principles and deliverables
  • ‘Tribe’ level risk, issue, assumption and decision coordination
  • Co-ordination and creation of the regular and ad-hoc Business and Executive reports
  • Co-ordination of Governance arrangements, Post Implementation Reviews, Tribe and Sub-Tribe level workshops
  • Maintaining Tribe assets, communications and related tools
  • Assisting the Financial Analyst with the monitoring, review and reporting of budgets, synergies and finances

Additional responsibilities include assisting the Delivery Manager with defining and updating the Tribe and Squad management processes, standards and governance, assisting Workstream leads and co-ordinating activities in support of inter-dependency tracking.

How will you do it?

Governance & Control

  • Supporting the adoption of Agile principles and deliverables
  • Help implement governance standards across the Tribe, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of programme deliverables
  • Manage the ‘Lessons Learned’ repository and attend ‘Scrum of Scrums’ review meetings to identify key areas of improvement to be captured into the ‘Lessons Learnt’ repository
  • Manage and communicate the Tribe level risk, issue, assumption and decision logs
  • Co-ordination of Governance arrangements, Post Implementation Reviews, Tribe and Sub-Tribe level workshops.
  • Maintaining Tribe assets, communications and related tools
  • Assisting with inter-dependency tracking and communication
  • Assist in the booking and co-ordination of Executive Steering Boards and GSTP Executive Steering Committee meetings

Planning, Reporting & Control

  • Update and administer the Tribe, Sub-Tribe and Squad milestone plans, as required, using reports from Workstream Leads and the outcomes of Tribe and Steering Board meetings
  • Assist in the co-ordination, creation and distribution of the regular and ad-hoc Business and Executive reports obtaining information from all relevant areas and preparing the reporting ‘pack’
  • Complete and distribute all formal actions and Steering Board Minutes, track completion of actions and update accordingly

Financial management

  • Assist Financial Analyst with the monitoring, review and reporting of budgets and finances
  • Help manage the Cost and Revenue synergy register, ensuring that all synergies are tracked and reported upon

Key Skills

You will have experience of working in an Agile delivery and development organisation. Previous experience of working in a Programme Management Office with a demonstrable track record is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and accounting methods would be advantageous. Strong business acumen and the ability to see commercial opportunities. Analytical and report writing skills. Ability to work to tight deadlines. A curious and questioning approach. Willingness to learn and continuously improve. Strong written and oral communication skills. You will be strong at building relationships with teams across the business.
