Job Purpose

The Intern programme launched in 2015 and, after four successful years with high demand, we’re going to be back, bigger and better for 2019 with an Events Intern up for grabs in our Events Marketing team!

Your Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Senior Event Managers and Department Head to plan for live events
  • Provide departmental organisation and administrative support including organising meetings, note-taking, collating data for the department, administrating SharePoint, providing help and support to the Project Manager and Event Managers, processing invoices using IPOS, administrating registration web portals and excel and word documents
  • Assist with the organisational and administrative aspects of event specific projects both in the office and on-site at European events
  • Assist with the ordering of pre-approved merchandise, equipment, branding and other event items
  • Answering emails received in all event inboxes and relaying information/queries by the players to the Event Manager once the event is live
  • Work on-site at live events taking player registrations, assisting with event management duties and other ad-hoc duties as required
  • Travel and weekend work will be required
  • The days at events can be very long and hectic, and sometimes stressful. A strong constitution and calm demeanour under pressure are required for this position
  • Provide cover to Live Events individuals as needed

What do we need from you?


  • Current second year university student studying an honours degree requiring a sandwich placement
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Self-motivated, able to work as part of a busy fast paced team
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume work environment
  • Must be a “people-person” who is confident with an outgoing personality
  • Excellent organisational skills, being detailed orientated and meticulous
  • Ability to innovate and think outside the box
  • Able to work long hours, evenings and weekends both in the Malta office and on-site at events
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills


  • Additional languages are always an asset, especially French, Russian and Spanish
  • Knowledge of event management processes
