Job Purpose

The Intern programme launched in 2015 and, after four successful years with high demand, we’re going to be back, bigger and better for 2019 with a Learning Intern up for grabs in our Learning team.

The Learning Intern will help support our blended learning project with focus on the daily administration of our module portfolio and relevant processes. You will work closely with the Learning Specialists to learn how to undertake training needs analysis through to evaluation of learning solutions.

We have designed this programme with you, the student, at the heart of everything, ensuring you gain maximum exposure and experience throughout the twelve-month placement, something not all placements can offer.

Your Responsibilities

  • Research and dissemination to the Learning Team best in class learning solutions to underpin the review and incorporation in workshop and on-line environments.
  • Working in tandem with Senior Learning Managers to analyse the demand for courses and other developments, researching and scheduling solutions as appropriate.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of effective high quality workshops and on-line training for new and existing staff.
  • Manage 3rd party Licenses for software services, renewing when required and assessing usage patterns to ensure a good ROI.
  • Identify free training resources for publication within our Learning Management System.
  • Review the impact of delivered training through the feedback forms submitted by users and the amendment of training materials in line with any required changes deemed applicable by the Team.
  • Manage training room bookings for multiple session courses where needed.
  • Research and book external venues.
  • Schedule live training in liaison with departments and workplace Operations.
  • Special projects support; administer achievements, encourage completion, assist with queries and Learning Days; book rooms manage presenters, assist with user queries.
  • Manage the study support process from requests through to payment of suppliers, reviewing and implementing recommended changed where applicable.
  • Other duties as requested by the Director of Learning.

What do we need from you?

Essential

  • Current University student studying a four-year undergraduate degree programme in HR/ Business Administration requiring a sandwich placement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of planning and organisation skills.
  • Able to organise own workload and prioritise for projects delegated.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Able to acquire and understand new information.
  • Appreciation of the need for excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience within customer service environment
  • Experience and/or qualifications in training or teaching
  • Experience of working within a multi-jurisdictional company
  • Experience/knowledge of the online gaming industry
