The role: Junior IT Service Desk Specialist

We are looking for Junior IT Service Desk Specialist a to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Isle of Man office.

Why we need you: -

As part of the IT Operations team, you will provide an excellent level of IT support to the global internal business from our Headquarters on the Isle of Man.  You`ll provide 1st Line IT Support supported by experienced IT Specialists.  You’d be expected to develop processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the Junior Role. Your area’s of responsibility would include but not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Basic software installs
  • Remote user support (installing & updating software, updating software)
  • Imaging laptops, MacBooks & other corporate devices
  • Diagnosing/Repairing Laptops, MacBooks & other corporate devices
  • Desk relocations/setups
  • Configuring desk phones/iPhones
  • Basic stock management
  • Phone Support (resetting passwords, basic user assistance, escalating more complex tickets)
  • Updating Tickets on Corporate Ticketing System
  • Keeping customer informed on progress
  • Support Global Live Poker Tournament Events
  • Working week 35 hours (shift work between 7am – 7pm)

Who are we looking for: -

You are a highly self-motivated individual with a focus on customer service who can work with minimal supervision whilst still being part of a team. You have experience of an IT Helpdesk or are completing or completed an apprenticeship is advantageous. Stars Group offers excellent opportunities to learn and progress within the company. 
You have excellent customer service and communication skills are paramount. Attention to detail and updating our Ticketing system is crucial to the overall success of the team. You have experience supporting Windows 7 and/or Windows 10 are skills that would be advantageous.
