We are looking for a Jira Software Engineer to join our multifaceted and innovative team in our Leeds service office.

You will lead all aspects of Jira customization, improvements and maintenance. It is an important tool, which supports mission critical and diverse SDLC processes of a multi-cultured company with thousands of geographically distributed users in multiple environments. In addition, this is a global role as you’ll be keeping in close connection to your expert colleagues in Toronto’s Tech Hub.

This role will focus on implementing and maintaining process automation and reporting solutions in Jira by using your expert knowledge and experience with Java, Groovy, Velocity, and other web-based technologies.

Part of your responsibilities will also include collecting requirements; providing investigation and analysis; performing user acceptance testing; maintaining infrastructure and ancillary Atlassian product implementations on multiple environments.

Finally, you can expect to maintain detailed documentation and when necessary deliver training and mentorship to users.

Who are we looking for:

In this role, we’re looking for you to have the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with web application and/or complex systems development (Java, Groovy)
  • Experience with Atlassian product administration in enterprise setting (5000+ users)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Atlassian products and add-on development tools, SDK, APIs
  • Working knowledge of version control systems (Git)
  • Power Linux user or past experience with Linux system administration
  • Experience with database administration/maintenance, JQL, SQL, advanced querying and data structure models
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently in fast paced environment
  • Good communication and analytical skills

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

Experience with Jira custom workflow development, product customization and 3rd party system integrations (compatibility and impact assessments).
