The role: Information Security Analyst
We are looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Isle of Man Office.

As Information Security Analyst, you will become a pivotal component within the organisation’s cyber defence strategy, supporting identification and mitigation of real world threats. Security operations at The Stars Group provides an exciting and challenging environment in which to develop a career in cyber security using best of breed tools and processes.
You’ll be required to conduct event driven threat analysis of log data from key computing infrastructure and analysis of malware payloads through automated and manual sandboxing. Whilst also, examining and deconstructing of phishing attacks.
You will have experience using Intrusion Detection Systems and Intrusion Prevention Systems (I.D.S./I.P.S) to alert response and analysis. As well as, ownership and collation of security intelligence data. This role requires you to make contributions during security incident response protocols, including diagnosis, reporting and remediation. While also, providing business user engagement and support regarding cyber security topics and maintaining awareness of evolving threats and industry trends.
We are a global business, threat actors can hit us anywhere at any time. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, participating in an on-call rota as well as shift patterns which evolve with the threat landscape and business needs.
Who are we looking for:
You will have a passion and desire to build a career within cyber security and be a strong team player. You’ll have relevant experience within an IT support role with practical experience supporting operating systems including Microsoft Windows 7,10 and Server >2008. While also understanding the TCP/IP protocol stack and OSI model.
This role requires you to have experience reviewing Microsoft operating system event logs within a corporate environment and excellent deductive reasoning, problem solving, and creative thinking skills. You also need to have concise reporting skills and be adaptable and receptive to change.
You’ll need the ability to multi-task under pressure and deliver against defined service levels and have a readiness to undertake self-study and expand technical skills set. In terms of qualifications you will have a minimum of 5 GSCE grade C above, or equivalent, including Maths, English and Science.
As the ideal candidate, you will have: -
A relevant industry qualification, such as MCDST, Security+ and practical experience with Linux are desirable. Practical experience with forensic tools and responding to anti-virus technologies.
Python development skills, industry qualifications like MCDST & Security+ with practical experience of Linux are highly desirable. Experience of a Windows domain environment, forensic tools and anti-virus technologies are all also sought of a successful candidate.
A positive team-player attitude willing to engage with team mates and the business is absolutely key to the success of the team as a whole and of your role as Information Security Analyst.
