We are looking for a front-end web developer to join our busy and dynamic team in our Richmond Hill, Toronto office.

You will be developing and maintaining web applications and open-source libraries that can be shared across projects and teams as well as writing high-quality code and ensuring excellence with unit tests. You will collaborate with business analysts, project managers, developers, and testers to convert business requirements into implementation, do code reviews, and write unit/integration tests. A Bachelor’s degree in one of: Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics is important as is passion and enthusiasm for web application development.
You will be communicating continually with the client and project, QA teams – help assess project effort, explain progress on the development effort and write test cases. You will also be contributing to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies. You will have an expert understanding of HTTP, Web Caching, Cross Domain Integration, Web Application Security.
As the ideal candidate, you will have: -
Proficiency with version control system (e.g. github) and effective collaborative development workflows is a benefit as will experience in developing web UI and code on different browsers, platforms and devices (including tablets, mobile phones). You will be implementing the build automation scripts for Apache, custom Perl and HTML content so solid communication, writing and people skills are also beneficial.
