The role: Finance Manager
We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our busy and dynamic Accounts team in our Isle of Man office.
Why we need you:-
As Finance Manager you will be taking the lead for the reliability and integrity of the underlying financial information of US and other Group companies, as well as, ensuring compliance and relevant filings are carried out in a timely manner.
You will be required to report on US financial results on a monthly basis to the US operational team, and have ownership of the preparation of US reporting packs for submission to US partners and relevant stakeholders. You’ll work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis Department and Tax Department to ensure necessary systems and processes are in place to derive the data and reports necessary to evaluate operating results. While also, being responsible for the preparation and posting of monthly accruals and prepayments in line with various agreements signed by the US and other Group companies.
You will need to assess the accounting implications and put in new procedures/reporting to align with the contractual requirements for new contracts signed by US and other Group companies. Whilst also, reviewing and analysing monthly results against forecast and perform detailed investigations as required.
Where required you’ll provide financial operational support to the US operational team and take ownership of specific ad-hoc reviews & projects undertaken by the Accounts team. You will also need to support all aspects of the maintenance and improvement of internal controls within the Accounts department.
Who are we looking for:-
- Fully qualified with one of the recognised accountancy bodies (preferably ACA)
- Post qualification experience in IFRS financial reporting
- Good understanding of control environment relating to financial reporting
- Excellent financial analytical and review skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organisation skills with ability to work both independently and as a team
- An ability to deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
- A proactive individual who has a desire to contribute in all areas of responsibility
As the ideal candidate, you will have:-
Previous experience working in an e-business, entertainment industry or US Sports market would be helpful. Experience working with platforms such as MicroStrategy, SUN Accounts and Vision Excel is also a plus. A high level of working knowledge with Microsoft Excel is also desirable.
