We are looking for a Director, Government Affairs & Corporate Development to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Miami Office.

We are seeking a talented and expert individual for the role of Director, Government Affairs & Corporate Development. This position will ultimately report to the SVP, Government Relations & Strategy, Americas however will jointly support strategy and growth objectives as directed by the US CEO FOXBet. In this role, you will have dual responsibility whereby coordinating & directing our government affairs program within Latin American and developing & executing growth strategy for the Americas. In addition, this position will support government relation efforts in both Canada and the US.

In terms of your Governmental affairs with Latin America concentration, you will:

  • Implement and direct government affairs program
  • Coordinate in-country government affairs program.
  • Advise, implement, participate in coalitions; act as liaison to various groups/projects, etc.
  • Develop relationships with key legislators and their staffs’/committee staffs and regulators to effectively channel the goals and desires of association.
  • Represent association either as a participant or advisor in developing and presenting testimony and public policy for the scientific community.
  • Organize, track and administer in-country activities.
  • Act as the funnel to association’s technical resources for legislators and their staffs, committees and their regulators.
  • Develop/maintain the Government Affairs Division budget.
  • Travel to required meetings as assigned
  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned

In terms of your focus on corporate development within the Americas, you will:

  • Assist in developing and executing growth strategy for the Americas
  • Stay up to date with the competitive landscape and provide support to put in place and execute a strategic plan to manage new ventures, business models, adjacent products, new markets, investments and strategic partnerships
  • Support the US CEO in preparing detailed documentation for the evaluation of potential opportunities with company’s executives
  • Act as a liaison between the regional Americas office and corporate HQ in order to support new ventures, manage relationships with suppliers/partners, and execute handover to relevant operational business units for execution of strategic initiatives
  • Assist the US CEO to translate strategic priorities into targeted actions and programs
  • Provide support throughout the due diligence process and work with key stakeholders to build financial models and execute transactions
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders of certain existing and new subsidiaries and joint ventures that are not integrated into the core business in order to achieve the group’s objectives
  • Assist in developing and implementing integration strategies that enable the fast realization of deal value as well as improved customer experience
  • Support the US CEO in developing a strategic framework for a wide range of business development activities across a wide range of commercial markets
  • Support the SVP, GRS in defining and executing the company’s strategy with regards to the company’s interaction with regulators and other key government stakeholders
  • Work across lines of business and with business leaders to problem solve and ensure strategic alignment
Who are we looking for:

We’ll be looking for you to be able to showcase a strong experience level in a similar role, with around 5-10 years exposure. You’ll have a bachelor’s degree and you’ll been able to show a deep level of exposure to either (or both) corporate development and lobbying. Realistically, you’ll need to have knowledge surrounding our industry to fulfil this role to the highest potential, with this in mind you should have mobile gaming exposure – we view this as a “must have”. We’re looking for someone who understands our business deeply, so understanding the technology space, specifically within mobile gaming industry, means you’ll hit the ground running.

In terms of person fit, you’ll be someone who is highly organized and motivated. You’ll need to have solid written and oral communication skills. You should have a goal and results oriented mindset. You’ll be someone with a high level of diplomacy and tact.

We’re looking for you to be able to show superior communication and interpersonal skills, with all levels of clients, employees and management.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

Knowledge and exposure to the casino industry, potentially across different states. This is important as the casino/gaming industry is at the heart of our products. If you have an understanding of LATAM markets and speak Spanish either Portuguese that’s a big plus too.
