We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Native/iOS) to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Leeds service office.

Why we need you: -

Come and join a new team to build exciting new products featuring rock-solid stability, high velocity code-shipping and ground-breaking innovation. We’re lean, we’re agile, and devops is at the centre of everything we do! And you’re in good company: you’ll be standing on the shoulders of the giants who created the most popular apps and products of their kind.

You’ll work on the most critical, strategic projects at the heart of the world’s largest public online gaming business, with funding and opportunities to match our huge ambition

It’s your chance to work on greenfield developments where you’ll build and run new products that will ultimately be used by millions around the world, building on your career so far and learning new tech skills to solve problems that only exist at this scale

GSTP’s native team will create and own world-class apps giving customers across the world access to our Sportsbook.  Their work follows on from market-leading success with the SkyBet app, taking our approach to the rest of the world.

DevOps is just as critical to success in native app production as anywhere else, and you will be right at the heart of the process from beginning to end, embedded in the squads as their ops expert.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing high-quality CI, monitoring/alerting and automation tools
  • Diving into Swift code to help them implement operational features
  • Owning non-functional requirements and help make our apps slick and responsive
  • Navigating the Apple release process and replacing manual work with automation
  • Driving the monitoring and service health after release

Who are we looking for: -

You’ll be the go-to expert on:

  • Native app development (Xcode, Swift, ObjC)
  • CI technologies (Jenkins in particular)
  • Real-user monitoring, with the likes of New Relic
  • Support experience of live, public-facing systems
  • Experience operating an App Store app, publishing to the Apple ecosystem

We’re looking for you to ensure that people do not do a boring task twice – automate where possible! We’ll want you to work within and outside a squad, promoting DevOps mindset and relationships. You’ll be someone who can advocate for automation, monitoring and testing tools and you’ll be someone who always wants to have service status data at your fingertips!
