The role: Department Head of Test and Quality Assurance

We are looking for a Department Head of Test and Quality Assurance to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Leeds Office.

Why we need you:

We’re expanding our team to use our technical and sports betting knowhow to deliver amazing products to customers of BetStars and SkyBet around the world.

The Department Head of Test and Quality Assurance will own and manage our end to end test and quality assurance capability across the GSTP (Group Sports Trading Platform) tribe covering 18 squads across Leeds and Sofia. The role will set out and execute the test strategy and will own and run our delivery team of test engineers across all squads. You will work closely with colleagues in Development, Operations, Architecture and Product, and has a key role in the Technology management team. In a nutshell the role will:

  • Take ownership of our test and quality assurance capability.
  • Will design and deliver our test strategy across all domains (web, mobile, regression, integration, automation and performance to name a few) and additionally drive and implement best practice, tooling, processes and governance.
  • Hold accountability for the quality of our products and software deliverables striving towards a zero defect delivery.
  • Ensure we have the correct levels of governance and KPI’s in place so that we can continuously measure and improve.
  • Provide quality assurance and testing leadership, guidance and training.
  • Deliver a best in class test practice which will serve our tribe and ensure we deliver quality product and features.

You will be part of the team who will build the next generation of sportsbook to support international growth. Working within our bespoke framework to create performant, immersive sports betting experiences. Integrate with our real-time data feeds to give customers the most relevant and up-to-date information around their bets. Leverage content management and configuration tools to provide non-technical colleagues with applications to effectively manage sports betting products across many different territories.

Who are we looking for:

You will have an established background in testing, having risen from a hands on technical tester to become a strong leader of large multi-site testing functions. You will be working closely with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis so excellent communication skills and an energetic personality are essential. You will be responsible for managing the Leeds and Sofia team of up to 30 resources. In addition to managing a large number of resources you will be working on multiple projects .This experience is crucial, and your natural leadership qualities will be evident from the start.

You will have a proven track record in getting it right first time, on time and every time. You will be able to demonstrate how you deliver quality for our products and platforms.
