The role:

We are looking for a Department Head of Poker UX to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Isle of Man office.

Why we need you:

The Poker Product team is looking for an experienced UX professional to come in and lead a small UX Team covering both UX Architecture and UI Design. Your role will be integral to the product design and development process promoting customer centricity and working to company’s defined CX product design process.

In this role, you will demonstrate a real passion for user-centred design, mentoring members of the team, and collaborating with managers of other UX, Product, and Development teams to secure consistency across all products.

As the Department Head of Poker UX, you will be a phenomenal design thinker and a visionary working closely with the Poker Product Managers to provide a clear UX and design direction for the product. You will lead others through example and collaborate in crafting simple & engaging user experiences within a complex industry. You will also take time to understand the performance side of design, regulated markets and the business aspects of the product. The role will require consideration for product consistency and player experience across all channels and touch points. You will work closely with the central CX Design team and contribute to the overall design guidelines to secure consistent and seamless experiences for customers.

Who are we looking for:

You are a design leader with deep knowledge of information architecture and interaction design across a variety of devices, touch-points and platforms. You have a keen eye for detail and cross platform consistency, considering users who interact across more than one platform. You easily collaborate with internal creative departments and 3rd party studios to create a holistic experience throughout the entire player journey.

On this role you`ll become an advocate for user research, championing the involvement of customers during product design and development. Ensuring insights are shared with product and developer counterparts, and are considered as well as iterated during the design & development phases.

You`ll ensure customer pain points and unmet needs are captured and addressed. You are well-versed in modern design research methods and work closely with the Group’s UX Research team helping to plan, prioritise and assist with all aspects of research. You have a fundamental understanding of UCD and extensive experience as a UX practitioner embedding this within working processes with your product peers. You have demonstrable experience helping global brands design and deliver digital products and services. You have a strong desire to co-create (with customers and internal teams), and experience facilitating this type of collaboration

You are experience leader of user experience real passion for still have a passion for hands-on design. You`ll iterate on the UX deliverables and adapt these to the product, developer and research needs as the projects dictate. You`ll recruit, lead and mentor a small team of UX Architects & UI Designers instilling a collaborative culture and prioritising work load appropriately.

You`ll help build and establish a collaborative product tribe and influence embedding UCD into an agile process. You`ll also help maintain and grow effective design systems, such as component libraries, templates and style-guides that improve design consistency and production efficiency.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:-

You have comprehensive understanding of user centred design. You have experience of being an integral part of a UX team from an in house environment and at least 5 years as an in-house UX Practitioner.

You are an effective communicator and willing team player. You have experience designing solutions for all channels (Responsive & Native). You are well versed in Axure & Sketch and other UX/prototyping tools. You are working collaboratively in cross-functional teams with designers, product managers & developers. You have technical knowledge of front-end mobile and web technologies. And of course, knowledge and passion for the latest design tools, processes, and practices.

Experience in the online gaming industry and keen interest in Poker are desirable skills.
