Database Administrator

We are looking for a database administrator to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Richmond Hill, Toronto office.

Why we need you:

You’ll be developing, maintaining, monitoring and supporting databases in all environments which includes performance monitoring, tuning, development of infrastructural projects, settling capacity, backing up and planning disaster recovery.

Who are we looking for:

Your role will involve monitoring and supporting the DB infrastructure for the Group along with tuning and solving any issues that arise. You’ll also be reviewing codes and configuration changes to develop our systems. A degree in IT or a related field is meaningful to enable you to enforce development standards and your overall knowledge of operating systems, networks, storage devices, and how they relate to our Database environment is imperative.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

You’ll need demonstrable experience in a similar role with shown knowledge of database installation, configuration, maintenance and support as you’ll be developing and reviewing all ETL processes based on the requirements.

Knowledge in database performing monitoring and tuning along with backup and recovery procedures is important to allow you to contribute to the development of the system’s architecture. Also, analytical/problem-solving skills are needed.
