The role: Compliance Manager
We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Malta Office.
Why we need you: -
You will monitor, analyse and act upon team performance output and quality, and manage information reporting to the Senior management, as well as, leading a team involving all aspects of people management, including but not limited to, team and one to one meetings, mentoring and coaching, study and development.
You’ll understand, monitor and review all developments within the regulatory environment, recognising areas which need improvements and acknowledging risks within the business, while also fostering relationships within the business to ensure stakeholders are aware of new upcoming regulations, highlighting any risks and coordinating any implementations as required.
It is central that you ensure relationships with all regulatory bodies are kept to the highest standard and undertake the project management of any system changes in relation to regulatory compliance. This will include maintenance and approval of all relevant registers, company policies and internal control systems and associated documents. You will also be asked to undertake ad hoc projects and duties as determined by Senior Management
Who are we looking for: -
You’ll have previous experience working in a compliance/regulatory/auditing function, preferably in an online environment. As you will be communicating with various levels of staff across the group excellent communication skills in English are important.
Experience of working with regulators, external auditors and inspectors as well as, interpreting and applying legislation within a company context is crucial. You will have experience in compiling information from various stakeholders and excellent people management skills with strong attention to detail.
You’ll have good presentation and training skills and be a well organised individual. There is a need for you to be able to plan and prioritise work schedules and individual tasks and be a motivated, hardworking member of the team that can manage self and other tasks to meet required deadlines.
You will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and be prepared to undertake international travel when needed.
As the ideal candidate, you will have: -
Previous experience working in the online gaming industry and awareness of current global issues affecting the industry are desirable. Experience gained in a large organisation and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally will be a distinct advantage.
