The role: Business Analyst – Jurisdictions

We are looking for a Business Analyst – Jurisdictions join our busy and dynamic team based in our Leeds office.

Why we need you: -

In the last few years we have witnessed the dramatic move from a one-vertical, one-license, one-platform company to a multi verticals/licenses/platforms/brands/technologies group with impressive growth on each one of these areas. We are now licensed in 18 jurisdictions and hold around 100 (!) specific licenses. With 2-3 jurisdictions added every year, in a few years’ time a significant part of our business will be regulated.

As Business Analyst – Jurisdictions your role is to help keep our licensed portfolio fully compliant in a business-as-usual mode and take part in defining product requirements for new markets entry. You will work with Product, Compliance and various business stakeholders to investigate, define and execute product changes to support our Compliance level.

You’ll translate business requirements into detailed requirement documents and work closely with business and technology on accurate implementation. Whilst also creating and maintaining the ‘knowledge base’ of our systems and licenses and provide different business units with compliance gap analysis on requested features. Be the knowledge owner of our different solutions across all licenses.

This role requires you to proactively raise risks with current and potential functionality and ensure our product is compliant with local regulation. As well as, managing data requests to allow data driven decisions and map competition landscape by comparing the company's product to competitors' functionality.

Who we are looking for: -

You will have intimate knowledge and experience with operational aspects around regulated markets and a strong interest and aptitude in defining business requirements for software development.

You’ll have understanding of the software development lifecycle, take a creative and analytical approach to problem solving and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

The role also requires you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and superb attention to detail. Whilst also strong relationship management skills – ability to relate to business users and software developers with strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.

As the ideal candidate, you will have: -

Experience in working within regulatory frameworks and compliance, with detailed knowledge of regulatory product requirement across jurisdictions is desirable.

Technical understanding of regulated frameworks and experience working in a Product, Project or Business Analyst role or have qualification/certification in these areas is a plus.

In addition being educated to degree level in computer science or another technology related discipline or demonstrable technical experience such that they can work comfortably with developers and data analysts is also good to have.
