Business Analyst - Casino

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Toronto Office.

Why we need you: -

You’ll be responsible for building creative and inspiring products for our extraordinary casino gaming platform which is continually being improved.

In your role, you will work with Product Managers, Developers and Project Manager to transform business requirements into actionable developer specifications. In terms of what you will look like, you’re going to be someone who is passionate about digital, has experience in desktop/mobile web and HTML5 software development. You’ll demonstrate familiarity with, and have an ongoing active interest in, user experience best practices for scalable user interfaces, principles of mobile and web user experience, emerging technologies, patterns and trends. You’ll analyse high level business requirements and provide gap analysis. You’ll also prepare and write functional specifications.

Part of your role will be about defining project goals, scope and deliverables, involving all meaningful stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Plan and co-ordinate project delivery between business units and development team. You’ll be visualizing concepts quickly and cleanly through rapid prototyping methods and wireframes.

You’ll need to align individual property digital needs to best of breed solutions based on industry knowledge, including: Content Management Systems, Social Media. Mobile, Third Party Integration (APIs, XML, Web Services), Browser Capabilities (Responsive Design, HTML 5, CSS3). In addition, you will conduct documentation reviews “walkthroughs” with internal and global teams and solicit input from developers and other technical staff to figure out the level of effort required to complete tasks.

You will have a positive relationship with development staff, working with them during the technical design, programming, unit-testing and implementation stages as needed to ensure requirements are being met.

You’ll be coordinating upgrades & new functionality with internal and external technology teams and participating in the implementation phase if/as required to validate scope has been met and/or identify gaps. You’ll need to be a good communicator - collaborating with developers, designers, and Product Management and other business owners in all stages of the project lifecycle.

Who are we looking for: -

You are most likely someone with extensive experience as a business systems analyst/product manager (circa 5 years+). You’ll also have a meaningful post-secondary education Diploma or Degree in a related field.

You’ll possess a deep understanding of the use of technology and standards for digital implementations. Strong communication skills will be needed to work with key stakeholders and help deliver casino products and/or platform improvements that will reach a large, global base of users.

You will have a track record in multi-tasking on many projects at once, with a good understanding of software development life cycles both waterfall and agile. We’ll want you to have passion and enthusiasm for games and interactive consumer products development. You should hopefully be familiar with online games, casino games, 3rd party integrations of gaming content, and online casino software. In addition, previous experience with HTML5 web & mobile development is important.

As with any role in large organization, you’ll need to have strong communication skills and an ability to work with leadership at all levels.

Ideally, you’ll also have a BA or PM certification under your belt too.
