We are looking for a Automation Test Engineer to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Hammersmith service office.

Who are we looking for:

The Oddschecker QA team of 6 are responsible for rolling out test strategies, working closely with product and software development teams as part of squads which are aligned to each of our business areas.

In this position as part of our web squad and you will become an integral part of this team, working closely with our Dev lead, Product Owner and wider team and designers. You will report to our Test Lead and maintain a close relationship with the wider team of QAs, sharing ideas and standard methodologies.

You will take ownership of one of our web product and help automating the regression pack and new features by using the best test practices. Your feedback will be essential to the development of the product and the determining of the future strategy of the product. You should have a real interest in and understanding of sports, being able to identify issues with the website and keeping customer experience front of mind.

You will be responsible for all test cases and documentation related to the Automation testing of the product and act as a primary point of contact for any Automation queries.

An interest in and knowledge of the sports industry is a key requirement for this role, along with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and take ownership of your own workload.

We are looking for someone with Automation experience using Selenium with Java. As a perfect candidate, you should have solid experience with BDD and Cucumber. You have been involved in the building of a cross-browser test automation framework from scratch. You have strong knowledge and experience in web and webservices (RestAPIs). Webservices testing experience with Postman and working experience with Charles proxy, Fiddler will also put you in the list of top candidates. And overall you are really passionate about quality and web testing frameworks, tools and practices.

Our squads are working with Agile methodologies so experience in such environment is also advantageous. Our success is based on teamwork and therefore ability to communicate with different teams across the company is another requirement.

ISTQB-BCS certification is a desirable skill to have under your belt . Experience with JIRA and TestRail and knowledge or experience in the betting industry will be an advantage. If you were involved in building CI environment ensuring the automation framework fits into development pipeline using Jenkins/Gitlab this will push you even higher up the list towards ‘the ideal candidate!’ for our growing team.
