The role: Associate Director, Group Tax

We are looking for an Associate Director, Group Tax to join our busy and dynamic Tax team, based in our London office.

Why we need you:-

You will lead and continue the development of the Group’s tax reporting process, working closely with the corporate and segment finance teams, plus the segmental heads of tax. You will have ownership of the International segment corporate tax compliance process as well as corporate tax controversy and advisory.

Also as needed you will support the Group Tax Director with other tax issues and projects, including M&A, re-structuring, financing, and various business function related tax issues. As well as being a key contact point for various business teams, to help them take care of their tax related issues and queries.

You will manage the International segment corporate tax and reporting team, helping them to develop and grow in their roles and be well-placed to deal with the current dynamic tax environment the group operates in.

Who are we looking for:-

You will be a qualified tax professional (accounting qualification) with significant post qualified experience, including time in a senior in-house role. You will have excellent IFRS accounting and tax reporting knowledge and good international corporate tax experience, including transfer pricing.

You will have good knowledge of the evolving tax environment following BEPS and subsequent EU and OECD proposals, the ability to distil complex tax technical situations into practical and implementable guidance for management, experience of leading teams and of developing relationships with external advisors, group auditors and tax authorities.

You will be a good communicator that is able to readily gain the confidence of the business teams and Group management.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:-

Experience working for/with a US listed business subject to US SOX control requirements and awareness of or experience of working in the online gaming industry.
