The role: Associate Director, Financial Controller

We are looking for an Associate Director, Financial Controller to join our busy and dynamic Finance team in our Isle of Man office.

Why we need you:-

You will provide strategic and operational leadership of internal and external financial reporting for The Stars Group International business. You will also have ownership of the SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) framework management with direct or indirect responsibility for 300+ controls, and ensuring that the relevant teams within Stars Group International Finance are applying the agreed principles, operating their controls effectively and identifying and remediating deficiencies.

You will have oversight of the Finance Operations teams i.e. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will be responsible for the production of monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reporting for consumption by the Executive Management team, the Corporate Finance team, regulators, the markets and other key partners. You will coach and manager direct reports and provide support for their personal development needs.

Who are we looking for:-

As we are a publicly listed business being a qualified accountant is essential, as is a background in a big four accountancy firm. You will have in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and the ability to apply them in practice. You will also have previous experience of operating at a senior level within Finance.

You will have excellent management, organisational and interpersonal skills with strong communication and problem-solving capabilities. You will be able to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines and have a proactive, team player approach.

As the ideal candidate, you will have:-

Experience of working in a public company environment and audit practice, with financial reporting experience in a SOX environment desirable. A keen interest in or previous experience working in the online gaming industry would be an added benefit.
