The role: Assistant Manager, Corporate Legal Services

We are looking for a Assistant Manager, Corporate Legal Services to join our busy and dynamic team based in our Isle of Man Office.

Why we need you:

We’re looking for you to come in and take responsibility for assisting the team with the efficient and effective oversight and administration of areas including: general company secretarial and corporate legal services, corporate governance, entity and organisational maintenance, corporate records maintenance, intercompany financing matters, and similar functions.  You’ll pay particular regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to the same.

As a function the corporate legal services team is a full-service team for company secretarial and corporate legal services administration for the business. It sits within the Legal Affairs department of the General Counsel’s Office.

You’ll be tasked with assisting the Corporate Legal Services Manager in maintaining the company secretarial and corporate legal services records, processes, policies and procedures. We’ll look for you to review work carried out by corporate legal services administrators, including periodic entity reviews, minutes, written resolutions and other corporate documents and filings. You can expect to oversee corporate service team projects with support from team administrators, e.g. reorganization projects, dissolutions/liquidations of inactive companies, formation of new entities, corporate changes, intercompany financing and funding matters, and similar projects. You’ll be involved in organizing board meetings, including preparation of agendas, board packs, taking and drafting minutes and resolutions.

Who are we looking for:

You’ll be an experienced corporate services specialist, with the ICSA qualification or working towards this qualification. You’ll most likely have around 8-10 years’ experience in company secretarial related role, essentially, you need to be an established specialist in this area.

You’ll have experience of organizing board meetings including minute taking. You’ll be comfortable in administering entities in multiple jurisdictions, e.g., UK, IOM, Ireland and Malta.

As with all our roles, we’ll need you to have a strong work ethic, with an ability to manage and organize a busy workload. You can expect to be dealing in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines the norm! We work in a fast-growing, exciting industry and you should be keen to take on a challenge in this role.

As well as all of the above, we’d ideally like you to have experience of managing the viewpoint system as well as experience in a legal environment.

If you’ve worked in an online gaming or interactive entertainment company that’s a big plus, as is a track record in project management.
